Night Sweating
You have been trying and trying to find something that would control your bouts of sweating at night, and nothing seems to work. You keep waking up from a deep sleep, soaked to the skin, and wondering if there was a leak in the roof, until you realize once again it's your body sweating for all it's worth.
Many adults and children suffer from this problem, it's nothing new and nothing unnatural. Most of the time it is just a case of an overactive system... but you still should be checked out by a doctor and make sure it is nothing more than that. Night sweating, and especially excessive night sweating can be a symptom or sign of a hidden medical condition.
Ingesting hot or spicy foods just before going to bed, can trigger a bout of night sweating; so the best remedy in this case scenario, is to avoid such foods as will start an attack of night sweating.
There are people that experience night sweating as part of their normal biological functions, and it is not uncommon for these same people to just have intermittent bouts of night sweating, and not every night. These bouts of night sweating can be triggered by events or factors other than food.
Some of these factors include things like anxiety, excessive stress, and very often the prevailing weather conditions. Even in the deepest part of winter, folks will have not only the heat turned on, but also a pile of heavy thick blankets over them on the bed, which in themselves can provoke a bout of night sweating.
So for a person susceptible to night sweating, any or all of these factors could promote a bout of night sweating at any time. This certainly does not mean that the number of people who do experience night sweating is in the vast majority, and the number of sufferers of regular night sweating is rather low, but there are enough for it to be a problem to be looked at.
The most reasonable thing to do if you have tried numerous channels to try and stop the night sweating and nothing seems to work, is to consult your doctor. You should not have to put up with wet sweaty sheets and nightclothes night after night.
Other things you may not have thought of to try and help you control your night sweating problems, are using antiperspirants at night time, or changing your overall diet. It may not be just one food causing the night sweating, but your entire diet that needs to be changed. Also relaxation methods work well... try using them just before you go to sleep to help you relax. Any of these methods can have a beneficial effect, and can help you get a handle on your night sweating problems.
